  • Donna Platt, LCPC

    Donna Platt, LCPC, MA, is the owner and clinical director of Platt Professional Counseling in Frankfort IL. She received her master’s degree in counseling psychology from St. Xavier University, while working full-time in middle management with AT&T. When the company downsized and eliminated her position in 2011, she finally was able to start her “dream job” as a clinician in mental health. In the beginning of her new career, she worked in several clinical facilities, including as an inpatient therapist with Linden Oaks in Naperville, an outpatient therapist at Christ Hospital, as well as a clinical therapist at Timberline Knolls in Lemont. Eventually Donna entered private practice, and in 2016, Platt Professional Counseling was founded. What began as a “one woman shop” in a single rented room, Platt PC has now grown into a thriving practice in the southwest suburbs, employing a large staff of counselors, social workers, and a life coach.

    Donna has a love for and genuine desire to help people through their toughest times. She enjoys working with a diverse population of people, including couples in crisis, individuals dealing with life transitions, and those struggling with addiction and codependency.

    Donna specializes in couples therapy and has completed all levels of training in Gottman Method. She assists couples with conflict management, affair recovery and intimacy.

    She uses several evidence-based treatment methods, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy and faith-based counseling.

    Donna has received additional training and certification in addictions. She is passionate in her efforts to support clients and their families in recovery from alcohol and substance addiction, as well as codependency.

  • Bill Platt, CAMS

    Bill Platt is the Chief Support Officer (CSO) for his wife Donna and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Platt Professional Counseling (PPC). He has completed training and certification as a Certified Anger Management Specialist-I (CAMS-I) with the National Anger Management Association. Bill also serves as a pastoral/spiritual counselor and is certified as a Premarital Counselor in both SYMBIS and Prepare/Enrich programs.

    Bill served as a Care and Support Pastor at Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park, IL for 9 years, until his retirement in 2022.

    Prior to his service in ministry, he worked in both the public and private sectors. In 2005 he joined RQA, Inc where he held several positions in the Product Retrieval Division. In 2013, he retired from RQA as the Vice President, Operations.

    He worked in the public sector for 29 years at the Chicago Transit Authority. He started his CTA career as a laborer and retired in 2004 as the General Manager, Rail Operations. Bill started his career in education in 1975 working for 2 years as a substitute teacher in the Chicago Public Schools.

    He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and attained a bachelor’s degree in education in 1974. As a young adult, Bill studied Law at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and later in life he attended Moody Bible Institute where he studied theology.

  • Jen Archbold, LCSW

    Jen has over 15 years in the mental health field and have specifically enjoyed working with individuals, families and children involved in foster care and adoption. She believes our faith, family and community support are vital parts of the healing process.

    It would be her honor to be a part of that healing and growth for you. Her specific experience using a trauma-informed focus along with ACT, CBT and DBT modalities. Jen’s background includes utilization of family therapy and play therapy for children and teens.

  • Michele Arthur, LCPC

    Michele is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who works with adults from a strengths-based, collaborative, client-centered perspective. She has experience working with adults who have experienced trauma, grief, loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression and those having difficulty regulating emotions. She also has experience with those experiencing serious and persistent mental illness that has caused life interruptions such as psychosis, personality disorders, severe mood and anxiety disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), dual diagnoses such as substance use/mental illness and developmental disability/mental illness.

    She uses an integrative treatment approach incorporating a variety of methods including: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), among others.

    Her undergraduate degree in theology helps her to incorporate spirituality and assist those interested in a faith-based approach.

  • Keisha Y. Cooper, MA

    Keisha has a diverse clinical background and works with individuals (as young as 8 through adulthood), couples, and families. Over the past 20 years, Keisha has worked in multiple environments including private practice, domestic violence shelters, psychiatric nursing facilities & hospitals, inpatient residential treatment facilities, and schools. Her areas of focus are trauma, art & play therapy, women’s issues, LGBTQ+, mood disorders, grief, and substance abuse. Keisha strives to assist her clients by promoting individual growth and mental wellness.

  • Madeline Garrett, LCPC

    Madeline Garrett is a licensed professional counselor (LCPC) who has experience working with people of all ages who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders. She has served in several clinical settings that include residential treatment, outpatient treatment, individual and group therapy.

    The foundation of her philosophy is to utilize a client centered approach, empowering others, offering support and empathy, and working together to come up with creative ways to help her clients reach their goals and succeed. She utilizes several research-based modalities in her treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and faith-based counseling.

    Madeline holds a M.A. degree in Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology from Governors State University.

  • Dr. Moniet Holloway, EdD, LSW

    Moniet is a licensed social worker (LSW) with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She has experience working with people who have experienced anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Moniet encourages individuals to flourish by using their experiences while creating balance to live their best life.

  • Melissa Kachin, LCPC

    TRAUMA RECOVERY, MOOD DISORDERS, FAITH-BASED COUNSELING

    Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) specializing in trauma recovery and women’s issues. She has a passion for helping people heal by telling their story and lived experiences through a lens of self-compassion. She uses elements of Narrative Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) during session to help clients let go the past and move confidently into the future.

    Melissa is also passionate about integrating faith-based practices with evidence-based treatment to create spaces for people who are struggling to see God in their story and to understand God’s role and purpose in their pain. She is happy to incorporate spiritual perspectives and principles in a treatment plan upon request, while also respecting and embracing individuality on this topic.

    Melissa holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, as well as a Level Two Certificate in Narrative-Focused Trauma Care from the Allender Center.

  • Carl Koerner, LSW, MSW

    Carl brings decades of experience serving children and families in public and non-profit child welfare settings. He is committed to helping people grow and overcome burdens that are interfering with daily living, depleting joy, or harming relationships. He assists men struggling with mental health challenges such as employment stress, depression and/or anxiety, who are dealing with divorce, or who are navigating the challenges of being in a blended family, or who are experiencing grief and loss.

    Carl has completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method for use in couple’s therapy and uses this modality to help couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, overcome conflicts, and restore joy and harmony in their relationships.

    For those struggling with anger, he uses the evidence-based NAMA curriculum to help individuals learn to better manage anger-provoking life events and circumstances. Carl believes we can find hope, gain confidence, and improve coping skills with the help of a compassionate, insight-oriented counselor.

  • Bonnie Martin, LPC

    Bonnie Martin is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has helped individuals from a variety of backgrounds find growth and healing. Her primary passion is helping individuals heal from relationship wounds whether they be from friends, family, or a love relationship. Bonnie's training includes Gottman's Level 1, divorce recovery, anxiety, grief and loss, mood disorders, and addictions. When client-appropriate, she enjoys using a faith-based approach to therapy.

    Greg is passionate about helping people use their strengths to get through the worst times in their lives. He believes that a person’s physical, mental, and spiritual health are connected and improvements in any area brings them closer to a life God wants for them.

    He also provides professional coaching for executives and business owners to achieve higher levels of performance in their careers and lives.

    Greg has over 30 years of experience in direct care and leadership roles in a variety of organizations. He’s served in a residential treatment center, a mental health center, a health center, a charter school, and a developmental disability facility. He holds a MSW and a MBA from The University of Chicago.

    Rachel has spent most of her career working in the behavioral health and addiction field. Rachel appreciates her clinical training and skills but believes her greatest asset is believing in the Word of God.

    Alek Savic is a Licensed Professional Counselor and hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Counseling Practice) at Roosevelt University and Bachelor of Divinity from St. Sava School of Theology.

    Alek has experience working with grief and loss, couples and marriage counseling, addiction, spirituality, trauma, substance abuse, personality disorders, and emotional regulation.

    His main goals are to provide counseling services to various individuals concerning improving mental health, and personal growth, therewith improving their overall well-being. During the therapy process he regularly assists clients in discovery of their strengths, building a solid support system, and developing a healthy lifestyle to set the foundation for life success.

    Due to his spiritual education, he welcomes spirituality into the counseling session. He strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space for all individuals to explore their challenges. Alek prefers to use an integrative approach that includes cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing techniques.

    Tosha has been a therapist for over 10 years, and has worked with various populations. She has a sensitivity to and is comfortable working with all cultures, ages, faiths, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community. Tosha has experience counseling individuals, couples, and families. With her background as a U. S. Navy Veteran, she has a heart for helping those in the military population. Everyone has a story.
